The Answer to Yesterday's Whackadoodle Riddle
The President of the United States gets into an elevator with the President of American Samoa, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Guam. How many Presidents come out?
The answer is ONE President comes out of the elevator!
One president comes out of the elevator because every person who lives in the US territories are American citizens, and he/she is the president for all of them.
The territories are no different from the States, except they have no Senators to speak for them, and their Representative has no vote in the House. So, I guess that makes them very different.
Evidentially, our forty-fifth President thought he was talking to the President of Puerto Rico without realizing that he was the President of Puerto Rico; and that he was talking to Puerto Rico’s Governor. At the time, he made it sound as if we were aiding some foreign county instead of our own fellow citizens, and tax payers.
He tossed them paper towels.
We don’t need Presidents who can toss us paper towels. We need Presidents who can see beyond themself and understand their own history and government.
A lot of people talk about why forty-five should never be president again. His failure to answer this simple riddle decided me years ago.
Enough said. I hope you enjoyed my riddle and will pass it along.
