A Whackadoodle Poem: An Imperfect Sonnet About Birds
This sonnet is all about me giving myself some advice one day.
An Imperfect Sonnet About Birds
Why do birds sing? For the same reasons I’ve
done. They call to invigorate their lives,
and demonstrate their worth. We all contrive
to find some satisfaction for our drives.
You may not like each individual
song, and you may choose to assume some songs
are noise; but each tune’s an original
song for which another bird often longs.
So what is the lesson? Keep calling out your
fame. You may not be the prettiest bird
on the block, but your song could be a lure
amazing birds that no other song’s stirred.
It is when we lack the courage to sing
that we often find ourselves floundering.
Love this. So amazing that you and I spent so much time together as EM actors and I had no idea who you are! And perhaps you didn't know me either. Kaycheri
